Although german society is very proud of its social welfare achievements it closes its eyes to the cause for the success of a big part of the german industry: The employment of people without a german passport to execute all the unpopular jobs as cheap as possible and without any basic rights.

This is about the engineers of the “Final Solution”, who built “efficient” ovens to burn the dead bodies of the gasified victims of the NS-ideology. The frightening part is that these engineers shared their working ethics with todays ideal of fulfilling your job in modern capitalism.

und tötet nebenbei auch 100 Menschen.
Beim Versuch, das zu verstehen
dreht sich mir der Magen um
und mein armes Gehirn
läuft im Kreis

Deportations to Afghanistan are suspended
although it’s totally non-dangerous there
But surprisingly: An attack on the german embassy
unfortunately hinders the german bureaucracy
and by the way kills 100 people

Deporting people to preserve Germany as an isle of economic wealth is already extremely egoistic. But to declare countries with war-like conditions as safe areas to allow these deportations is just pure inhumane.

wenn es schon deine Großeltern so gemacht haben
muss es erhalten bleiben
Auf der anderen Seite
die Effektivierer und Rationalisierer
egal, wie nützlich es ist -
wenn es dem Profit im Weg steht
muss es zerstört werden
Aber ich scheiss auf mörderische Traditionen
genauso wie auf tödliche Effizienz
Nur leider ist mein Scheisshaufen
viel zu oft eher Schmiermittel
statt Sand im Getriebe

About the struggle between conservative tradition-keepers and neoliberal rationalizers and the refusal of both factions. And in the end it’s also about capitalisms astonishing ability to integrate and absorb even the most rebellious movements and counter-cultures.

We do basically what all bands are doing - playing gigs, releasing some records,
playing the kind of music we like and trying to write lyrics which have something new to tell.
