again and again it is tried to divide resistance. It is often said that the reason for this is the differenciation of violent and non-violent forms of actions. But mostly the dividing line is drawn along the efficiency of the actions. If a form of resistance seems to become successful it will be combated, no matter if the people acted in a violent or non-violent way.
